The first module of three in the joint European Sport Business Program by Otto Beisheim School of Management, Stockholm School of Economics (SSE), and ESSEC Business School took place in mid-February in D\u00fcsseldorf, Germany.<\/strong>
“I gained many new and valuable insights to bring back to Sweden, primarily in the areas of strategy and leading change,” says Kaveh Sarvari, one of the two participants from Swedish Professional Football Leagues in the program.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The European Sports Business Program (ESBP) aims to prepare participants for the future challenges of the sports industry through tailored educational programs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The days in D\u00fcsseldorf focused on the theme “Corporate Foresight & Strategy Making.” Participants had the opportunity to listen to guest lectures from both the European business sector and football, as well as from the American NFL. It also required a high level of personal engagement through exercises and presentations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“It was an education with a good mix of theory and practical exercises. Among other things, we had to create a sharp strategy for the NFL’s growth in Germany, which we then had to present to the NFL on-site. I look forward to upcoming training sessions,” says Kaveh Sarvari.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition to Kaveh Sarvari, Ylva Ring, Digital Project Manager, also participated in the conference on behalf of Swedish Professional Football Leagues.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“These meetings are beneficial not only for self-development in leadership and business development but also for expanding one’s personal network. Here, you get in touch with like-minded individuals from all over Europe, which I will find highly valuable in my work going forward,” says Ylva Ring.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The next module of the program will take place at the Stockholm School of Economics, while the concluding module in the spring will be held in Paris.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
