The very first season of Allsvenskan was played in 1924\/1925. Here is the complete list of all 67 clubs that have competed in the league over its 100-year existence, from 1924 to 2024.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The clubs are presented in the order of the Allsvenskan Marathon Table standings as of the 2024 season. Each club was awarded a commemorative ball this summer in recognition of their contribution to Allsvenskan history.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Malm\u00f6 FF not only leads the all-time standings for Allsvenskan, but they are also the ultimate champions. They have played a total of 88 seasons in the top division. MFF are the reigning Swedish champions and currently lead this year\u2019s edition of Allsvenskan as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

IFK G\u00f6teborg ranks second after Malm\u00f6 FF in both the all-time standings and in the number of Swedish championship titles. “Bl\u00e5vitt” had its golden era in the 1980s and 1990s, winning a total of ten league titles and two UEFA Cups. The club also played regularly in the Champions League. Their most recent league title was in 2007.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

IF Elfsborg debuted in Allsvenskan in 1926 and played in the league until 1954, when they were relegated. The club’s peak was in the 1930s and 40s, when they won three league titles, with a core team that also represented the Swedish national team. Their most recent championship was in 2012.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Djurg\u00e5rden first played in Allsvenskan in the 1926\/27 season and has won twelve titles across four different golden eras, one of which was in the 1910s before Allsvenskan began. The other peak periods were in the 1950s, 60s, and the 2000s. Their latest league title was in 2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hammarby also participated in Allsvenskan\u2019s first season in 1924. After some years in the shadows, \u201cBajen\u201d returned to Allsvenskan in the 1950s. Since then, Hammarby has alternated between promotion and relegation. Their current stint in the league has lasted since 2015. Hammarby\u2019s only league title so far came in 2001.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

HBK (Halmstads BK) debuted in Allsvenskan in 1933 and has since played 56 seasons in Sweden\u2019s top league. The club has won four Swedish championship titles, the latest in 2000, making HBK the top club in Halland.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

GAIS won the very first edition of Allsvenskan in 1924\/25, although this did not earn them the championship title, as Allsvenskan did not grant this status until 1930. The same happened in 1927. The club, however, has four official championship titles, the latest in 1954. GAIS has played a total of 55 Allsvenskan seasons and frequently moves up and down between leagues.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kalmar FF won its only championship title in 2008, securing it in the final round with a 2-2 draw away against Halmstads BK at \u00d6rjans Vall. Their first season in Allsvenskan was 1949\/50, but after relegation in 1955, they endured a 20-year wait before returning to the top division. Kalmar FF also has three Svenska Cupen titles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Landskrona BoIS was one of the twelve teams in the first Allsvenskan season in 1924. They have played 34 seasons in the top league but have yet to win a championship title. However, in 1972, BoIS did win the Svenska Cupen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Norrk\u00f6ping club IK Sleipner has played 16 Allsvenskan seasons, including the very first season in 1924\/25. In 1937\/38, they won Allsvenskan, taking their first and only championship title. The legendary Nils Liedholm also played for Sleipner. Today, IK Sleipner competes in Division 2.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

IFK Eskilstuna has played 14 Allsvenskan seasons, including the very first season in 1924\/25. In fact, the very first Allsvenskan match took place at Tunavallen, where IFK Eskilstuna faced IK Sleipner on August 3, 1924. Their best finish was fifth place. Today, IFK Eskilstuna competes in Division 2.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Uppsala\u2019s IK Sirius debuted in Allsvenskan in 1969 but struggled to establish themselves, with only two more seasons in the top division during the 1970s. It took until 2017 for Sirius to return to Allsvenskan, where they have stayed since.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
