The Season Away Ticket for the 2024 season will soon be available to buy from the clubs in Allsvenskan and Superettan. A new feature this year is that the card is digital and distributed through Swedish Professional Football Leagues official ticket partner, AXS.
Similar to previous years, each club has 100 Season Away Tickets to sell for the upcoming season. The card grants the holder access to all away games of the club during the season and can be purchased through the club’s ticket shop, just like regular season tickets and single match tickets. The Season Away Tickets for 2024 will provide entry to all away games and stadiums with a single barcode. The start date for sales may vary among clubs, and more information will be available from the clubs as their sales commencement approaches.
“The Season Away Tickets are for supporters who faithfully travel across the country to follow their favorite team, and the interest in these tickets is substantial. We are pleased that this year we have managed to find a solution with our ticket partner to digitize the Away Ticket,” says Kaveh Sarvari, Events and Private Market Manager at Swedish Professional Football Leagues.
The new solution, among other things, makes it easier for supporters to share their ticket if they are unable to attend a particular away game. The price for the Allsvenskan Season Away Ticket for the 2024 season is 1,250 SEK, equivalent to 83 SEK per away match. The Superettan Season Away Ticket is priced at 1,000 SEK, or 67 SEK per away match.
“This year, we are making a price adjustment for the first time since the introduction of the Season Away Ticket, and the adjustment is below the Consumer Price Index (KPI) for the period since its inception. We still see the card as very advantageous, given the relatively low price per match. Acquiring an Season Away Ticket also creates predictability for the holder as they are guaranteed entry to their team’s away matches,” Kaveh Sarvari continues.
Clubs retain 50 percent of their sales, and the remaining 50 percent goes to Swedish Professional Football Leagues, which, in turn, evenly distributes the revenues among the clubs in each league. The sale of the Season Away Ticket ends on March 20, the week before the start of both leagues, and cannot be purchased after this date.
