Several clubs in Allsvenskan and Superettan are showing empathy for those affected by the school shooting in Örebro. Örebro SK will wear black armbands in tonight’s friendly match against Kryvbas, and a moment of silence will be observed. A demonstration against violence is also planned for this weekend’s friendly match at Behrn Arena.

That is why several elite football clubs are stepping up to show solidarity with those affected by the Örebro school shooting. The football community stands together for and with the victims.

Örebro SK’s match against Jönköpings Södra IF at Behrn Arena this weekend will include a demonstration against violence. ÖSK is offering free admission and refreshments. This match will also begin with a moment of silence, and the players will wear black armbands.

Degerfors IF honored the victims by wearing black armbands and holding a moment of silence in their match against Örebro Syrianska. IK Sirius did the same when they played Silkeborg in Benidorm, Spain.

Over the weekend, Västerås SK will wear black armbands in both the men’s match against IFK Stocksund and the women’s match against Sandvikens IF. Utsiktens BK and Landskrona BoIS will also wear black armbands in their friendly match, as will Sandvikens IF and IK Brage.

BK Häcken will hold a moment of silence before the men’s friendly match on Friday and the women’s match on Sunday. IF Elfsborg will do the same for both their men’s and women’s teams.

IFK Värnamo plans to wear black armbands during their Atlantic Cup match in Portugal on Sunday against Brentford.

The Swedish Football Association will begin upcoming national team matches with a moment of silence and has encouraged all clubs in the country to do the same and wear black armbands as a sign of respect.
