The media days for Allsvenskan and Superettan 2025 have been completed. Numerous attendees from the league, clubs, media, federation, and other stakeholders participated in insightful seminars, fun activities, and a host of interviews.
“The interest in the media days continues to reach record levels. The number of pre-booked interviews, especially in Superettan, was higher than ever before,” says Kaveh Sarvari, Event Manager at Swedish Professional Football Leagues.

As usual, the Allsvenskan media days attracted the most visitors. The day started with panel discussions on stage, where current topics such as coaching situations and player transfers were debated. This was followed by the traditional team photoshoot featuring the coaches wearing their clubs’ jerseys, before media interviews and general mingling took place.
“For a few years now, we have been tailoring the stage program topics based on media preferences. This year, it resulted in highly relevant discussions that generated significant public interest. It was a well-balanced mix, which was appreciated by the audience,” says Kaveh Sarvari.

Alongside the interviews, the Barncancerfonden (Children’s Cancer Foundation) organized an activity with players and coaches, which will be showcased later this spring.
Media Predictions for the Season
As per tradition, the media made their predictions for the leagues.

On stage, Svante Samuelsson, Sporting Director at Swedish Professional Football Leagues announced the introduction of a new trophy for the Superettan league winner and the organization of two special anniversary rounds this summer to celebrate the league’s 25-year history.
Media predictions place Västerås SK as favorites to bounce back to Allsvenskan, with Helsingborgs IF and Landskrona BoIS as their closest challengers. At the bottom, GIF Sundsvall, Östersunds FK, and Umeå FC are expected to face difficulties.
